❄️⚾ TUCSON ICEBREAKER INVITATIONAL — TOURNAMENT RECAP ⚾❄️ 📅 December 13–14, 2025 📍 James Kreigh Park | Oro Valley, AZ The Tucson Icebreaker Invitational delivered exactly what its name promised—a true kickoff to winter baseball done the right way. With 16 teams competing across three age divisions, James Kreigh Park provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic weekend of baseball in Oro Valley. From crisp winter mornings to sunny afternoons, the weather cooperated beautifully, and the fields at James Kreigh Park were in outstanding condition all weekend. Great facilities, great competition, and great energy made this event one everyone will remember. 🏆 DIVISION CHAMPIONS & FINALISTS 🏆 10U DIVISION: 🥇 Champion: Arizona Mayhem 10U Navy Arizona Mayhem showed resilience and determination throughout the weekend. After finishing 1–1 on Saturday and starting Sunday with another loss, the Mayhem found another gear when it mattered most—avenging both earlier losses to the Huachuca Hustlers with a championship game victory to claim the title. 🥈 Finalist: Huachuca Hustlers The Huachuca Hustlers entered the championship game 4–0 as the #1 seed, having already defeated Arizona Mayhem twice. Despite a strong weekend, they were unable to make it three straight against a determined Mayhem squad in the final. 11U DIVISION: Gold Bracket 🥇 Gold Champion: Slam Sox 11U Garcia Slam Sox 11U Garcia delivered a dominant performance, going 4–0 on the weekend and controlling the Gold bracket from start to finish on their way to the championship. 🥈 Gold Finalist: Zona Smoke Zona Smoke played excellent baseball throughout the weekend, entering the championship game 3–0 before finishing as Gold finalists. Silver Bracket 🥇 Silver Champion: Los Vaqueros Los Vaqueros showed grit and perseverance after an 0–2 Saturday, rebounding with a perfect 2–0 Sunday to take home the Silver Championship. 🥈 Silver Finalist: RoughRiders 11U The RoughRiders went 1–1 on Saturday and narrowly missed the Gold bracket due to run differential. They responded by defeating the Sahuarita Sidewinders 11U to earn a spot in the Silver championship game. 13U DIVISION: 🥇 Champion: Dodgers Rio Rico Dodgers Rio Rico turned adversity into opportunity. After an 0–2 start on Saturday, they came out firing on Sunday, going 3–0 and avenging an earlier 4–3 loss to the Tucson Heat. Their run included a championship victory over #1 seed Tucson Toros, sealing a hard-earned title. 🥈 Finalist: Canyon Regulators The Canyon Regulators went 1–1 on Saturday and earned their spot in the championship game by defeating the Mavericks 4–2, capping off a strong weekend. 👏 THANK YOU! The level of competition, sportsmanship, and support throughout the weekend truly made this a special event.
