🏆❄️⚾ WINTER STATE / TOY DRIVE TOURNAMENT RECAP ⚾❄️🏆 📅 December 6–7, 2025 📍 Copper Sky Park (Maricopa, AZ) & Valley Vista High School (Surprise, AZ) The Winter State / Toy Drive Tournament delivered an outstanding weekend of competitive baseball across the Phoenix Metro area. With 21 teams competing across four age divisions, the event showcased high-level play, resilience, and the spirit of community at two great venues--Copper Sky Park and Valley Vista High School. From dominant performances to dramatic comeback runs, teams battled through pool play and championship brackets, making this event one to remember. 🏆 DIVISION CHAMPIONS & FINALISTS 🏆 11U DIVISION: 🥇 Champion: Birdgang Baseball Birdgang Baseball put together a dominant, undefeated weekend, outscoring their opponents 64–5. Their run included a second victory over the Maricopa Crush in the championship game, sealing an impressive title run. 🥈 Finalist: Maricopa Crush The Maricopa Crush finished 2–0 in games not against Birdgang and showed consistent, competitive play throughout the weekend. Unfortunately, they ran into the eventual champions twice, including in the final. 13U DIVISION: 🥇 Champion: Valley Aztec Baseball Black 🥈 Finalist: Arizona Dust Devils Valley Aztec Baseball Black squared off against the Arizona Dust Devils in the championship game. Both teams entered the final game undefeated, with Valley Aztec earning the #1 seed and Dust Devils the #2 seed based on run differential, setting the stage for a true top-tier showdown. 14U DIVISION: 🥇 Champion: Bucktown Bulls After finishing 1–1 on Saturday, the Bucktown Bulls responded with a strong Sunday, going 2–0 and clinching the championship with a thrilling 9–8 victory over AZ Neptune in the final. 🥈 Finalist: AZ Neptune AZ Neptune entered Sunday as the last seed after an 0–2 Saturday, but reset and made an impressive run. They went 2–0, defeating Premier Baseball Arizona 14U and Marucci Athletics 14U East Valley—avenging both Saturday losses—to earn a spot in the championship game. 16U DIVISION: Gold Bracket🥇 Gold Champion: PFA High School IV After a 1–1 Saturday, including a close loss to Vipers Elite 16U, PFA showed resilience on championship Sunday. They defeated a strong AZ Boyz squad in the semifinals before earning redemption with a championship win over Vipers Elite in the final. 🥈 Gold Finalist: Vipers Elite 16U Vipers Elite 16U entered the championship game 3–0, having defeated PFA High School IV 5–4 in pool play. Their consistent performance earned them the top seed and a well-deserved appearance in the Gold final. 🥇Silver Bracket: Birdgang Baseball earned their way to the Silver Championship as the #5 seed, while Brawlers Elite reached the final after defeating Venom Baseball. The matchup capped off a competitive Silver bracket run. A huge thank you to all 21 teams, coaches, players, families, and staff who made the Winter State / Toy Drive Tournament such a success.
